This doctor has a small practice and it is liable to remain that way. When I received a reminder call the day before the appointment, they told me 10:30. Stupid me for going by what they said instead of checkin my calendar. When I arrived at the office they told me my appointment was later in the afternoon at 1:30. When I returned at the correct time, I stood at the reception desk for 15 minutes before some one even entered the room. There were several people waiting on appointments. The doctor has rather terse rules about how many topics you are allowed to discuss at an appointment (two issues) and her narcotics policy is way over the top. I was only seeking bloodwork and I was put off by it. It was not something that should have been posted in bold type in a waiting area. She also had a really harsh cancellation policy that was posted. I waited with my 9 month old for an hour. In that time they called back one patient and there were several that got there before me. I started chatting with one patient and she told me to expect to be seen for my 1:30 apt. around 4pm. I finally told them to cancel my apt. and my baby's (the following day) and left. Generally, I got the feeling that this doctor simply did not have time for me because she could not manage her time well. I know doctor's offices can run behind, but four hours is insane. And the atmoshpere and service were not at all welcoming. There are other doctors in Elko. I took my little guy to a dedicated pediatrician down the hall and I will continue looking for a doctor who can manage their appointments better.
