He shows no signs of listening to his patients. He has no time to talk to you because he's in town once per month, so his 'appointments'? They last for ten minutes INCLUDING intake appointments. The experience is you go in, sit down, tell him what you're concerned about, and he will cut you a script and send you on your way.
Dr. Ron Zedek has been a fantastic doctor for me over the last 2 1/2 years. His ability to diagnose my problem and get me on the most effective medication was wonderful. He spent the necessary time and really listened to my concerns to figure out the most effective treatment for me. He was kind and made me feel comfortable. His treatment has given me the necessary tools I need to change my life for the better. I'd like to thank Dr. Zedek for all his attention and help.
If it were possible to post zero stars I would, but to warn everyone I'm forced to give him at least one star. This man should not have a license to practice mental health. He does not 'believe' in manic episodes, he does not 'believe' in ADHD, he does not 'believe' in blackouts caused by a medication he prescribed, he does not 'believe' in anxiety disorders. Yes you read that correctly, he is a psychiatrist that does not 'believe' in some very common mental health issues.
Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with literally ANY other psychiatrist in Elko. At the very least you stand SOME chance of getting an accurate diagnosis and there's hope for appropriate treatment.
Speaking of scripts: Pharmacies in the area filling his scripts each month run out of that medication because it is what he will prescribe to ALL his patients. Regardless of what the patient needs, he will prescribe the 'flavor of the month' medication to everyone. No joke. Ask any pharmacist or pharmacy assistant in the area, it is the best known secret in every Elko pharmacy. They hold up the script and say "Another one from Zedek". So unless you believe one medication treats every mental disorder, there's something amiss here.
