I have been shopping at the local Home Depot for many years and I must say that there are some fantastic people employed there has been fantastic in the past. The difficulties that reduce it to a 3 star rating is directly due to the upper levels of operation. The floor teams or managers are really good at trying to balance the bad management while dealing with the customers. I recently had an issue with local Pro-Department personnel and had to contact Corporate customer service and I was amazed at the response I received. Although the situation was costly they really stepped up to resolve the situation in a real decent way. I can only say that they are trying to correct the issues of past and A++ to them.
As a contractor it's important to be able to get in and out quickly. That is not usually the case here. There is plenty of merchandise but a lot of times there won't be enough of one thing to complete a project unless I order the items needed. I don't see how that's helpful I have Amazon and that stuff comes in two days not two weeks. That being said they are decent for dimensional material unless you need something brought down with a forklift.
No help to find anything and no help lifting anything into my truck. So I guess they are not much help all round.
This is the worst home depot ever. Maybe one or two employees try, but good luck finding them.
Would give them zero if I could! Purchased a storage shed online and called to make certain if I rented a 27" truck that they could load it into that- we arrived to pick up the shed and they refused to load it, stating that the truck was not big enough to accommodate the 10ft shed....Now I am out the truck rental of $300....there was one staff member that was really nice- too bad I did not get his name, but all of the female staff seemed to busy to assist us....although we were the only customers at the counter! Then we waited for 30 minutes for the shed to be loaded..... the forklift driver stated there was no way he could get the shed in the truck and promptly drove off with our shed! Nope....will not shop here again!!!
