I thoroughly enjoy and like DQ ice cream. I think that they make the best strawberry milkshakes ever. My husband and daughter wanted a twist but they were out of chocolate ice cream so they ended up getting a vanilla cone. My son got a hot fudge sundae. He said it was the best one he ever had. I got a small strawberry milkshake. They do make the best strawberry milkshakes.
This particular DQ has hot food on one side and cold on the other. In the middle of the two with a portico covering it is seating and a few tables. The side with hot food had closed and the cold side was still open. We pulled up and got in line for ice cream. Just like Minnesota it is only open during the summer months.
The service is not the best, food is great though... Always a very long wait, even when not busy! Staff is very unprofessional
Worst place EVER to eat. Just don't go! Wait in line forever to order 2 cheeseburgers and 2malts. Oops, you have to go over to the OTHER building to order a hamburger. Wait in line there, order, he says he will run over to the OTHER building and get our malts started. No receipt. Burgers done, wait in line AGAIN for our malts next door. They weren't made!Had to wait again, burgers get cold in the meantime. DID I SAY BURGERS? These were 2 tiny sliders, not burgers, no lettuce, no tomatoes, only a smattering of cheese on one, yes one, not two, and a dot of catsup and a dot of mustard, one tiny pickle. And no flavor.
I haven't been to a walk up DQ since we last visited Minnesota. What a nice throw back to years gone by.
I was in Elko NV and wanted a place to buy cream but not just any ice cream, delicious ice cream. For me, when it comes to ice cream, it has to be great. My husband and I decided to try this place and we were greatly satisfied. Ice cream, blizzards, banana splits, and my favorite warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. YUMMMMY....love this place.
Kind of a fun little place. The desserts are made in one part of the building while the meals are made in another and an outdoor seating area is positioned in between. The food was okay but nothing to rave about.
