My buddy and I were lucky enough to breakdown in Elko. The manager was very considerate and came out and looked at our trailer and new exactly what the problem was and that he had the part in stock. Although we choose to fix it ourselves he made sure we had everything that we needed to get it done.
Service is not job #1. I specified vehicle, they acknowledged the unique part, set the date, said they would order it, came to install and wrong part. Manager was rude and did not see it as a big deal--zero accountability. I had a time frame, with a purchased trailer (from another place thank God!) and had to source another hitch installer to get the job done right. Real disappointment because I like to keep my business local.
RUN FROM THIS PLACE !! DO NOT shop here, have warranty work done here, don't even look around the lot. This business is crooked...read ALL THE REVIEWS about this place. Everyone has had a bad experience with this sham business. The "good" reviews written are not real...regardless of what they'll write after THIS review. They install bad parts, then refuse to be accountable when their part ruins your vehicle. If and when they do the right thing by allowing a return of said part, you will be treated and spoken to in the rudest manner possible, called names, heard demoralizing comments about your company/vehicle/even you as a person! It was shocking to hear an employee of Gateway RV speak to a paying customer the way one of the female employees spoke...calling names, insulting the customer, telling him she was "doing him a favor" returning a part that Gateway RV said he required, and once the part was installed it caused hundreds of dollars in damages to the customers vehicle...and she claimed she was doing the customer a favor taking the part back! Nevermind the almost $1000 critical damage done to the vehicle because of Gateway RV's error. They put a customer back ON THE ROAD in a critically damaged vehicle that was so unsafe to drive lives could have been lost within minutes...thankfully the customer recognized immediately they no longer had working brakes, a viable computer system, and his life was at risk if he tried to drive the vehicle that Gateway RV caused damage to. Rather than accept responsibility for diagnosing the wrong problem and selling the wrong part, Gateway RV's employee's in essence said "too bad". The customer KNEW what the issue was, TOLD Gateway RV, and they insisted customer was wrong (in actuality, he was right). This place is dangerous, and apparently they have no customer service training for their poorly chosen staff, and zero accountability for misdiagnosis and/or sale of wrong equipment/parts. There are MANY other reputable RV dealers in this area. Unless you simply want to throw away good money, be mistreated and insulted, scammed and treated dishonestly, GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE besides Gateway RV. They are being reported to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association with a request for a formal investigation into the pattern & practices of Gateway RV. BTW, the rating system REQUIRES you leave a star rating of 1-5 in order to post the write up, but I do NOT give this crooked establishment ANY star ratings and if could, I'd give them NEGATIVE stars!

Not super impressed with this place. I bought my camper here and the experience was rushed and chaotic. Ive had some warranty work done here as well as regular repairs and the work is mediocre. Had a repair that was only done half way to my standard, why wouldn't you just do everything the best way possible? The most irritating thing was when they had to cut open the belly to get to the tanks and The reseal job was so bad that mice can now climb in the holes they left and now I have a mouse infestation in my camper! I'll probably drive a little further for my next rv dealings.
