The food was good so this review is not about the food. We went last night on a Wednesday night to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. When we arrived at 5:30 there was only a few customers there. It was fairly slow. Well -so was our waitress and the arrival of the food. It took over an hour and a half to receive our meal. Had it not been a special occasion we would have left. The waitress told us to flag her down if we needed anything (something you shouldn't have to do) but we couldn't even do that. Who could find her? Tomatoes is a small dining room but our waitress would disappear for twenty minutes at a time. When we finally got our food, we needed more drinks. No waitress. Ever. So we flagged down another waitress who rolled her eyes at us when we asked for more water. Finally the manager on duty came out and refilled our drinks. We then ordered a dessert for the birthday boy. Ice cream. You would think ice cream would be quick to bring out. Fifteen minutes rolled by. Can't find our waitress again. Finally it was close to 8 pm by then and everyone needed to get up early for work. We got up and went to the front of the restaurant. The hostess tells us goodnight. I told her if I were dishonest we would have left because we can't find our waitress to get the check. The hostesses went and got the waitress who comes out with the ice cream as we are leaving. She seems surprised. Why I don't know. No apologies for her poor service. Sorry, even though the food was good, we won't be back. The service was awful.
We did not enjoy the house salad. There was no spinach, no Romaine, just curly, bitter greens with ONE tomato and ONE black olive! That's it! Oh, and croutons if you don't order gluten free pasta. The service was good, but we should have taken it as a sign that it wasn't busy on a Saturday night.
New restaurant in town. Has really good food in generous portions. I liked the spicy flavors.
The food was good, but a little pricey based on the quality. It's more expensive than Olive Garden but not much better (dependent on what you get). Portion sizes were good. Service was excellent - the waitstaff were very friendly! The atmosphere was nice too, but I could see it getting a little noisy. A glass of wine is closer to 1/3 or 1/2 of a bottle - good value there! Good wine selection as well.
We had a pizza. Crust was thin but was good support for the toppings. It tasted good. Generous pours for the wine. Service was attentive.
